Cal-breds Show Up for El Camino Real

ALBANY, Calif. (Feb. 12, 2020) – Six California-breds are among the entries in Saturday’s $100,000 El Camino Real Derby for 3-year-olds at Golden Gate.

Indian Peak is by Comic Strip, out of the Roar mare Ms. Booty, was bred by owner Dr. & Mrs. William Gray and is trained by Quinn Howey. He has two wins in six starts, earnings of $64,660 and is coming off a seventh in the Jan. 18 California Cup Derby.

Praise Loudly is by Boisterous, out of the Ministers Wild Cat mare Made to Worship, was bred by Tommy Town Thoroughbreds and is owned by trainer Daniel Franko. He has one win in six starts, earnings of $17,200 and is coming off a third in a Feb. 8 starter’s allowance.

American Farmer is by Bluegrass Cat, out of the Quiet American mare Farmers Wife, was bred by BKB Stables, is owned by BKB Stables or trainer Steve Sherman. He has one win in five starts, earnings of $33,360 and is coming off a Jan. 26 maiden win.

Wine and Whisky is by Fullbridled, out of the Tabasco Cat mare Satin Dolly, was bred by Francisco Gomez, is owned by Ruben Arechiga or trainer Felix Rondan. He has one win in five starts, earnings of $40,366 and is coming off a second in a Jan. 19 optional claimer.

Mysterious Stones is by Gemologist, out of the Good Journey mare Mystic Voyage, was bred by Greg Brous & Robin Brous, is owned by Rio Del Sol Stables and is trained by Steve Sherman. He has one win in nine starts, earnings of $93,484 and is coming off a second in the Jan. 18 California Cup Derby.

Sacred Rider is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Ride the Rails mare Lady Railrider, was bred by owners Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Steve Specht.
