ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 16, 2019) – Nominations for the four California Cup/Sunshine Millions stakes races, to be run on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Santa Anita, are due on Thursday, Jan. 17 in the racing office.
The races, restricted to Golden State Series eligibles, are:
The $200,000 Unusual Heat Turf Classic for 4-year-olds and up at 1 1/8 miles on the turf; the $150,000 Cal Cup Sprint Stakes for 4-year-olds and up at six furlongs; the $150,000 Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Turf Sprint, for fillies and mares at about 6 ½ furlongs on the turf; and the $100,000 Cal Cup Turf Sprint for 3-year-olds at about 6 ½ furlongs on the turf.
