Code Ribbon Targets Debutante Division

ALBANY, Calif. (Nov. 22, 2021) – Stakes-placed Code Ribbon is among the entries in the second division of Friday’s $50,000 Golden Gate Debutante Stakes for 2-year-old fillies.

Sen Sen is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Gotham City mare She’s So Vain, was bred by Martin Bach, is owned by Antone Metaxas and trained by Steve Specht. She has one win in four starts, earnings of $35,550 and is coming off a fourth in the Oct. 30 Pike Place Dancer.

Tiz a Tiger is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Tizzy Retsina, was bred by C-Punch Ranch, is owned by Irvin Racing Stable and trained by Bill McLean. She has one win in three starts, earnings of $24,990 and is coming off a fourth in a Nov. 6 starter’s allowance.

Code Ribbon is by Desert Code, out of the Gran Reward mare Jumanah, was bred by Seamist Racing, is owned by Michael Pollowitz and trained by Jacqui Navarre. She has two wins in five starts, earnings of $67,052 and is coming off a third in the Oct. 30 Pike Place Dancer.

Ellamira is by Street Boss, out of the Ghostzapper mare Tuesdays With P, was bred by Cole Ranch, is owned by Cole Ranch Partners and trained by Steve Specht. She has one win in three starts, earnings of $31,910 and is coming off a second in a Nov. 13 optional claimer.

Gold Rush Gal is by Shaman Ghost, out of the Songandaprayer mare No Tunes, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Gonzalez, Gonzalez, Gonzales or Vasquez and is trained by Isidro Tamayo. She has one win in four starts, earnings of $34,320 and is coming off an Oct. 29 maiden win.
