Coniah Tries Monrovia Stakes Again

ARCADIA, Calif. (May 25, 2018) – Stakes winner Coniah and fellow California-bred Algorhythmic are entered in Monday’s $200,000 Grade II Monrovia Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.

Coniah is by Harlington, out of the Lord At War mare Pretti Woman, was bred by owners James or Tammy McKenney and is trained by William Morey. She has four wins in 23 starts, earnings of $340,165 and is coming off a second in the Apr. 29 San Simeon. She was second in this race last year.

Algorhythmic is by Vronsky, out of the Swiss Yodeler mare Thorellen, was bred by Jonny Hilvers, is owned by Richard or Kate Barton and is trained by Mike Machowsky. She has five wins in 17 starts, earnings of $205,569 and is coming off a fourth in an Apr. 21 optional claimer.
