Cal-bred Quartet in All American

ALBANY, Calif. (May 25, 2018) – Four California-breds, including stakes winners My Friend Emma and Grecian Fire, are entered in Monday’s $100,000 Grade III All American Stakes at Golden Gate.

Castle is by Slew’s Tiznow, out of the Mr. Greeley mare Grand Advice, was bred by owner Eagle Ridge Racing and is trained by Andy Mathis. He has three wins in five starts, earnings of $76,140 and is coming off consecutive allowance wins.

Many Roses is by Many Rivers, out of the Bertrando mare Heirloom Rose, was bred by owners Ellen Jackson, Jerry Martin and Margaret Martin and is trained by Jackson. He has four wins in 16 starts, earnings of $156,538 and is coming off a second in an Apr. 29 allowance.

Stakes winner My Friend Emma is by Tannersmyman, out of the Artax mare Ma Ka Bet, was bred by Jim Eaton, is owned by Candelario Barragan or Jocelyn Robles and is trained by Rhonda March. He has seven wins in 18 starts, earnings of $208,658 and is coming off consecutive wins, including an Apr. 29 allowance.

Stakes winner Grecian Fire is by Unusual Heat, out of the Kitten’s Joy mare Maddie’s Odyssey, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. He has three wins in 14 starts, earnings of $138,392 and is coming off an Apr. 29 allowance in which he did not finish after clipping heels and losing the jockey Irving Orozco.
