ARCADIA, Calif. (June 3, 2020) – Graded winners Prince Earl and Ward ‘n Jerry are among the entries in Saturday’s $100,000 Crystal Water Stakes for Golden State Series eligible at Santa Anita.

Cono is a Kentucky-bred by California stallion Lucky Pulpit, out of the Cowboy Cal mare Cashmere, was bred by owner John & Diane Fradkin and is trained by Michael McCarthy. He has three wins in 20 starts, earnings of $159,646 and is coming off a win in a Mar. 7 optional claimer.

Grinning Tiger is an Oregen-bred by California stallion Smiling Tiger, out of a Pioneering mare Karlee’s Kitten, was bred by Patrick Cosgrove, is owned by Tyree Wolesensky and is trained by Anthony Saavedra. He has seven wins in 26 starts, earnings of $149,801 and is coming off a second in the Mar. 22 Sensational Star.

Graded winner Prince Earl is by Paddy O’Prado, out of the Unusual Heat mare Soo Steamy, was bred by Madeline Auerbach & Harris Farms, is owned by Old Bones Racing Stable or Marshall and is trained by Phil D’Amato. He has three wins in seven starts, earnings of $252,778 and is coming off a fifth in the Nov. 30 Seabiscuit.

Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Oliver is by Papa Clem, out of the Premiership mare Snobby Princess, was bred by Thomas Backman, is owned by William Peeples and trained by Doug O’Neill. The $30,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has four wins in 20 starts, earnings of $302,852 and is coming off a sixth in an Apr. 24 optional claimer.

King Abner is by Hansen, out of the Salt Lake mare Margarita Salt, was bred by Golden Eagle Farm, is owned by Summit Racing, Branch, or Owen, et al and is trained by Phil D’Amato. He has six wins in 24 starts, earnings of $393,309 and is coming off a fourth in a Feb. 2 San Pasqual.
