Fran’s Valentine Draws Potent Lineup

ARCADIA, Calif. (June 3, 2020) – Multiple stakes winners Pulpit Rider and Warren’s Showtime are entered in Saturday’s $100,000 Fran’s Valentine Stakes for Golden State Series fillies and mares at Santa Anita.

Sedamar is by Richard’s Kid, out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Win Allison Win, was bred by Mick Ruis, is owned by Ruis Racing and trained by Shelbe Ruis. She has four wins in 12 starts, earnings of $221,624 and is coming off a consecutive optional claiming wins.

Super Patriot is by Unusual Heat, out of the Redattore mare Patriot C H, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by Little Red Feather Racing, Peskoff or Salvatore, et al and is trained by Richard Baltas. He has five wins in 27 starts, earnings of $293,954 and is coming off a seventh in the Feb. 22 Buena Vista.

Pulpit Rider is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Ride the Rails mare Lady Railrider, was bred by owner Mr. and Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Mike Puype. She has five wins in 21 starts, earnings of $377,159 and is making her first start since a sixth in the Aug. 9 Solana Beach. She was third in this race last year.

Hollywood Hills is by Hoorayforhollywood, out of the Malibu Moon mare Two Faced Moon, was bred by owner George Krikorian and is trained by Art Sherman. She has six wins in 12 starts, earnings of $208,168 and is making her first start since a second in the Aug. 17 Torrey Pines.

Warren’s Showtime is by Clubhouse Ride, out of the Affirmative mare Warren’s Veneda, was bred by Benjamin Warren, is owned by Benjamin & Sally Warren and is trained by Craig Lewis. She has four wins in eight starts, earnings of $310,251 and is coming off a fourth in the May 16 Evening Jewel.

Cordiality is by Papa Clem, out of the Unusual Heat mare Warmth, was bred by Dr. Ed Allred, is owned by Donnie Crevier and trained by Tim Yakteen.
