ARCADIA, Calif. (Feb. 5, 2020) – Cholula Lips, a graduate of the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association January Sale, is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade II Las Virgenes Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.
Cholula Lips is by Empire Way, out of the Rio Verde mare Sweet Lips Pooh, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Lovingier or Navarro and is trained by Mike Harrington.
She has two wins in eight starts, earnings of $159,750 and is coming off a ninth in the Jan. 18 California Cup Oaks.
