Bred by William Branch and Arnold Hill and owned by Branch, Fowler Blue ran the distance in 2:03.53 on a muddy and sealed main track. The race was originally scheduled to be run on the turf.
Fowler Blue, out of the Unusual Heat mare Roses for Joni, is a 4-year-old gelding trained by Doug O’Neill. He has three wins in 15 starts and earnings of 159,249. He won Thursday by two lengths at odds of 10-1 in a field of six.
