Grecian Fire in San Francisco Mile

ALBANY, Calif. (Apr. 24, 2019) – Stakes winner Grecian Fire and fellow California-bred Many Roses are entered in Saturday’s $250,000 Grade III San Francisco Mile at Golden Gate.

Many Roses is by Many Rivers, out of the Bertrando mare Heirloom Rose, was bred by Ellen Jackson, Jerry Martin & Margaret Martin, is owned by Victory Rose Thoroughbreds, Martin or Martin and is trained by Jackson. He has four wins in 18 starts, earnings of $160,643 and is making his first start since a fourth in the June 9 Albany Stakes. He was third in this race in 2017 and 2018.

Grecian Fire is by Unusual Heat, out of the Kitten’s Joy mare Maddie’s Odyssey, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. He has four wins in 21 starts, earnings of $221,702 and is coming off a win in a Mar. 22 optional claimer. He was seventh in this race last year.
