NEW ORLEANS, La. (Dec. 21, 2019) – Irish Heatwave is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $75,000 Woodchopper Stakes for 3-year-olds at Fair Grounds.
Irish Heatwave is by Unusual Heat, out of the Broken Vow mare Irish Winnie, was bred by Moger Inc. & Neary Racing, is owned by Calumet Farm and trained by Jack Sisterson.
He has three wins in 11 starts, earnings of $205,284 and is coming off a sixth in the Sept. 4 Caesars Stakes.
