WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Sept. 20, 2023) – California-bred Magic Tiger won Tuesday night’s $50,750 Gold Cup Stakes at Assiniboia Downs.
Magic Tiger is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Lucky Pulpit mare Funny Gal, was bred by Robert Heinz & Michelle Machado, is owned by Wind Dancer Stable and Bill Meikle and trained by Wendy Anderson.
He has 12 wins in 30 starts and earnings of $166,376. Magic Tiger ran the 1 1/8 miles in 1:52.30 and won by a length at odds of 9-5.
