SHAKOPEE, Minn. (Sept. 11, 2022) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Minister of Soul is the defending champion and lone California-bred entered in Friday’s $50,000 Tom Metzen H.B.P.A. Sprint Stakes at Canterbury Park.
Minister of Soul is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Bernstein mare Sensitive Soul, was bred by Dahlberg Farms and is owned by trainer Esteban Martinez.
The $16,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has 14 wins in 45 starts, earnings of $430,585 and is coming off a third in an Aug. 237 optional claimer. His win in this race last year is one of four stakes wins.
