NorCal Graduate Enters Albuquerque Distaff

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Aug. 27, 2023) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Brave Cinderella and fellow California-bred It’s Saul Right are entered in Sunday’s $70,000 Pitre GMC Albuquerque Distaff.

Brave Cinderella is by Brave Cat, out of the Liberty Gold mare Cinderella Liberty, was bred by George & Clare Schmitt, is owned by Amanda Sweeten and Blanca Villegas and is trained by Andres Gonzalez. The $1,400 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has four wins in 23 starts, earnings of $110,141 and is coming off a fifth in a July 16 optional claimer. She was third in this race in 2021.

It’s Saul Right is by Smokem, out of the Mineshaft mare Paula’s Pistol, was bred by Terry Lovingier and is owned by trainer Sal Gonzalez. She has one win in 15 starts, earnings of $77,820 and is coming off a second in an Aug. 5 allowance.
