NorCal Sale Grad Enters Generous Portion

DEL MAR, Calif. (Sept. 1, 2023) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Fly a Fantasy is one of three coming out of the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association Stakes that are entered in Monday’s $125,000 Generous Portion Stakes for Golden State Series-eligible 2-year-old fillies at Del Mar.

Crazy Hot is by Goldencents, out of the Rockport Harbor mare Harbor Mist, was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by Edward Brown & Cory Thabit and is trained by Jeff Bonde. She has one win in three starts, earnings of $63,600 and is coming off a third in the Aug. 6 CTBA Stakes.

Bleveys Tiger is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Coil mare Recoiling, was bred by owners Martin Bach & Daniel Weiner and is trained by Manuel Badilla. She has one win in two starts, earnings of $31,200 and is coming off a June 10 maiden win.

Unified A. P. is by Unified, out of the Mineshaft mare Dream of Mine, was bred by Norman Tavares, is owned by Haru Racing and trained by Edward Freeman. She has one win in three starts, earnings of $31,820 and is coming off an Aug. 4 maiden claiming win.

Putt for Dough is by Nyquist, out of the Distorted Humor mare Almost Guilty, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Antonio Garcia. She has one win in two starts, earnings of $56,700 and is coming off a fourth in the Aug. 4 CTBA Stakes.

Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Talent for Gold is by Goldencents, out of the Aptitude mare Aptiseno, was bred by Vicky Burnham, is owned by David Buchanan & Michal Manskar and is trained by Gary Stute. She has one win in two starts, earnings of $50,840 and is coming off an Aug. 12 maiden win.

Prancingthruparis is by Sir Prancealot, out of the Bellamy Road mare She’s a Big Winner, was bred by owners SAF Racing, Ciaglia Racing & H. Crusberg and is trained by Peter Eurton. She won her lone start Aug. 11 with earnings of $49,200.

Fly a Fantasy is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Desert Code mare Almost Reality, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by Harris Farms, John Cavalli, Mark Stanton and Stephanie Wedge and is trained by Jeff Bonde. The $29,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has one win in two starts, earnings of $41,600 and is coming off a fifth in the Aug. 4 CTBA Stakes.
