ARCADIA, Calif. (May 3, 2023) – Multiple stakes winner One in Vermillion is the lone California-bred in a field of four entered in Saturday’s $100,000 Laz Barrera Stakes for 3-year-olds at Santa Anita.
One in Vermillion is by Army Mule, out of the Any Given Saturday mare Given Star, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Jonathan Kalman and trained by J. Eric Kruljac.
He has three wins in six starts, earnings of $182,440 and is coming off a fifth in the Apr. 8 Runhappy Santa Anita Derby.
