Pacific Heat Returns in China Doll

ARCADIA, Calif. (Mar 9, 2016) – California Cup Oaks winner Pacific Heat and fellow California-breds Nine Point Nine and How Unusual are entered in Saturday’s $75,000 China Doll Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.

Nine Point Nine is by Tribal Rule, out of the Cahill Road mare Cielo Dulce, was bred by Stormy Hull and Ginger Samples, is owned by Holly and David Wilson and trained by Vladimir Cerin. She has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $77,200 and is coming off a consecutive claiming wins.

Pacific Heat is by Unusual Heat, out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Hotlantic, was bred by Harris Farms and Donald Valpredo, is owned by Alesia, Burns or Ciaglia Racing and is trained by Peter Eurton. She has three wins in four starts, earnings of $250,250 and is coming off a win in the Jan. 30 California Cup Oaks.

How Unusual is by Unusual Heat, out of the Bartok mare Veela, was bred by owners Madeline Auerbach and Barry Abrams and is trained by Abrams. She has one win in two starts, earnings of $44,025 and is coming off a Feb. 27 maiden win.
