Quite the Sibling Rivalry in F&M Turf Sprint

ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 21, 2019) – Full sisters Pulpit Rider and Halo Darlin and half-sister Fiery Lady, all bred by Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams, are among the entries in Saturday’s $150,000 Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Turf Sprint Stakes for Golden State Series eligible at Santa Anita.

Bella Luma is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Bold Badgett mare Bold Roberta, was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by Fairview or Linda Brown and is trained by Ed Moger Jr. She has five wins in 19 starts, earnings of $177,575 and is coming off a third in the Dec. 8 Miss America. She was fifth in the Cal Cup Oaks in 2017.

Pulpit Rider is a 4-year-old by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Ride the Rails mare Lady Railrider, was bred by owners Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Mike Puype. he has five wins in 16 starts, earnings of $348,617 and is coming off a third in a Dec. 30 optional claimer. She won the Cal Cup Oaks last year.

Halo Darlin is a 6-year-old by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Ride the Rails mare Lady Railrider, was bred by Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams, is owned by LaRusso, Martin or Yamamoto and is trained by Rafael Becerra. She has three wins in 23 starts, earnings of $167,201 and is coming off a Jan. 10 claiming win.
