ALBANY, Calif. (Apr. 27, 2022) – Sadie Bluegrass, third in the race last year, split horses in mid-stretch with an explosive kick to win Saturday’s $75,000 Camilla Urso Stakes for fillies and mares at Golden Gate.
Sadie Bluegrass is by Bluegrass Cat, out of the Grazen mare Sadie Clare, was bred by Nick Alexander, is owned by Madden Racing, Hon Cheung Kum or Hsiu Mei Tsai and is trained by Jonathan Wong.
She has 12 wins in 21 starts, earnings of $286,180 and was coming off a sixth in a Mar. 5 starter’s allowance.
Sadie Bluegrass won by two lengths at odds of 9-2.
