ALBANY, Calif. (Apr. 30, 2022) – Longshot California-bred Ultimate Bango, claimed out of his last start for $32,000, ran past defending champion Anyportinastorm and held off the late-closing Strongconstitution by a nose to win Saturday’s $75,000 Lost in the Fog Stakes at Golden Gate.
Ultimate Bango is by Uh Oh Bango, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Ultimate Summer, was bred by Mitchell Dutko & Bob Abrams, is owned by Mary Tucker and trained by Samuel Calvario.
He has six wins in 27 starts, earnings of $396,159 and was coming off a third in the Apr. 1 $32,000 claimer. Ultimate Bango ran the six furlongs in 1:09.40 at odds of 22-1.
