Tivan Returns in Robert Dupret Derby

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Aug. 8, 2019) – Stakes winner Tivan and fellow California-breds Our Bold Prince and Prospicience are entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Robert Dupret Derby for 3-year-olds at Santa Rosa.

Our Bold Prince is by Bold Chieftain, out of the Souvenir Copy mare Grasp, was bred by Dwaine Hall & Eduardo Rich, is owned by Anderson, Gurnick, Rich or Spicer and is trained by Eduardo Rich. He has one win in seven starts, earnings of $44,354 and is coming off a fourth in a July 14 optional claimer.

Prospicience is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Moonlight Tizzy, was bred by Robert Jones & Stephen Post, is owned by O’Neill or Robershaw and is trained by M Lenzini. He has one win in three starts, earnings of $30,720 and is coming off a second in a July 28 optional claimer.

Tivan is by Indian Evening, out of the Precocity mare Zak’s Precocious, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by Steve Sherman. He has two wins in five starts, earnings of $82,850 and is making his first start since a third in the Jan. 26 California Cup Turf Sprint Stakes.
