Touched by Autism in Oakland Stakes

ALBANY, Calif. (Nov. 21, 2018) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Touched by Autism is one of five California-breds entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Oakland Stakes at Golden Gate.

Midnight Ming is by Midnight Lute, out of the Slewdledo mare Candy Capri, was bred by owners Jack and Barbara Owens and is trained by Manuel Badilla. He has four wins in 16 starts, earnings of $132,458 and is coming off a Nov. 2 allowance win.

Sunset Dragunn is by Bold Chieftain, out of the Indian Charlie mare Luke’s Finest, was bred by Lorrie Anthony-Wanger & Oliver Wanger, is owned by Gomez, Gonzalez or Gonzalez and is trained by T Rivera. He has four wins in 16 starts, earnings of $108,928 and is making his first start since a seventh in a July 28 optional allowance.

Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Touched by Autism is by Sierra Sunset, out of the Beau Genius mare Beau’s Gem, was bred by George and Mary Clare Schmitt, is owned by Johnny Toboada and is trained by Marcia Stortz. He has seven wins in 27 starts, earnings of $222,415 and is coming off a fourth in the Oct. 14 Bull Dog.

Sir Vronski is by Vronsky, out of the In Excess mare Sister Sally, was bred by Joe Turner, is owned by Allen Aldrich and trained by Quinn Howey. He has 21 wins in 37 starts, earnings of $293,846 and is coming off a third in an Oct. 19 optional claimer.

Mah Gellin is by Skimming, out of the Maheras mare Mahrin, was bred by Racing Edge, is owned by Joe & Lola Sample and trained by Blaine Wright. He has nine wins in 41 starts, earnings of $327,638 and is coming off a second in an Oct. 28 claimer.
