ARCADIA, Calif. (Apr. 26, 2023) – Multiple stakes winner Big Switch and fellow California-bred Smoothlikebuttah, both daughters of Mr. Big, are entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade II Santa Maria Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Big Switch is out of the Malibu Moon mare Two Faced Moon, was bred by owner George Krikorian and is trained by John Sadler. She has four wins in eight starts, earnings of $339,924 and is coming off a second in a Mar. 31 optional claimer.
Smoothlikebuttah is out of the Five Star Day mare Eight Daughters, was bred by NP Thoroughbreds, is owned by Robert Bach & William Tessar and is trained by Steve Knapp. She has three wins in 38 starts, earnings of $384,012 and is coming off a win in a Mar. 13 optional claimer.
