BONSALL, Calif. (Jan. 6, 2022) – A memorial service has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 4 at San Luis Rey Training Center for that facility’s longtime general manager, Kevin Habell. The service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Thoroughbred Room. Habell, who died last November 20 at age 61, was among those honored by the Race Track Chaplaincy of America for their heroic efforts when the Lilac Fire engulfed San Luis Rey Training Center Dec. 7, 2017 and killed 46 horses.
