(June 5, 2022)—Taking full advantage of a California-bred incentive program that allows horses to run at the same allowance condition they’ve already won at, providing they’re changing surfaces, Mark Glatt’s Teddy’s Barino stretched out nicely for the first time to register a neck victory in Sunday’s $69,000 Santa Anita allowance feature. Ridden by Mike Smith, Teddy’s Barino got one mile on turf in 1:35.45. Settling nicely from her outside post position in the run to the Club House turn, Teddy’s Barino was a comfortable second to Ghostem up the backside and was two lengths back with three furlongs to run.
